So, I was born and raised in Detroit. Detroit's a big city--not as big as New York, but still there are lots of people and it's really a big place. I grew up on the north-east side. Now I live on the west side, with my hubby, and it took a while to find stuff. Kind of like moving to a new city, but not so far away.
Speaking of moving to a new city, Dan and I are moving to Indianapolis. Everyone always asks if I'm excited. I don't know--Indianapolis is pretty cool, from the few times I've been down there. But my family is all up in Michigan. And I've never lived in Indianapolis. And I hate change. So I guess I'm not excited. But it is fun to shop for apartments, and to drive around a see things. So maybe I am a little excited. Indianapolis looks like a nice city. And Dan has lots of family there.
The reason I'm a "country" girl is because I'm kind of a quiet person. I grew up in the city, but I've never been clubbing or to a rock concert, or stuff like that. I like reading and crafty stuff. And I like to listen to country girl. A lot actually. Its one of my favorite forms of music. That and love songs.
I recently discovered iTunes (like two weeks ago), and I've bought a bunch of music. Including stuff by Blumchen. So awesome! Its techno-pop and love songs all wrapped up in German. Yea!
Rachel is misleading you. She was not born and raised in Detroit. She was born in Royal Oak and raised in Sterling Heights.
ReplyDeleteThis is a suburb with 125,000 people. It is not a big city.
