So, I'm due on Saturday. I thought I would have a baby by now, since my mom had all her babies early. (I was two months early, but I am also a twin, so it throws things off). Of course, Dan reminded me this morning that he was two weeks late. How do babies decide when to come? Is it more based on the mom or the baby? Cause if its based on the baby, I might be in for a couple more weeks, cause her daddy was so late.
I have been informed that, if I want, I can be induced at 41 weeks (but I hit 41 weeks on a Saturday, so it would be the Monday after). Or I can wait for 42 weeks. But they won't let me wait any longer than that. If the baby isn't here by then, I get induced. They didn't say if the 42 weeks would be the Monday after as well . . . I wonder if they would want to induce the day before 42 weeks, or 2 days after. Hopefully we will not find out.
I have been mostly packed to go to the hospital since before Christmas. I have, in fact, been packed so long I've forgotten what clothes I packed myself to wear home from the hospital. I do remember what I packed for the baby. I guess I could go check . . .
Maybe the baby will be punctual, and arrive on her due date. Some babies do.
I hope baby comes soon! :) I can't wait to see pictures of Emily Ruth!
