Rapunzel

Emily loves princesses.  And she loves dresses.  And I had an old dress, which I had remade once (which hadn't turned out).  So, I chopped it off, and used the bottom part as a skirt for Emily's new Rapunzel dress, which is supposed to look similar to the dress Rapunzel wears in the Disney's Tangled.  I used the dress pattern I made earlier this year for the bodice.  So it is loose, but that gives her room to grow.

Which is good, because Emily loves it.  Although, she will usually only consent to pictures if she is with someone else.

  2. That dress is so beautiful! Jill has become REALLY into princesses recently, so she and Emily have that in common.

Keep sharing your cool sewing projects. Even though I can't do them, they are inspiring. I'm happy to know that you can and are!

  3. Emily is a beauty and the dress quite fetching; the flowers merit a comment too.

They are from the Christman home in Shelbyville, IL where they bloomed since the 20's, 30's or 40's? The roots were transplanted by Gordon Boling to Michigan in the 50's. They have been gracing the yards of Emily's ancestors for perhaps a 100 years.
