Those matching yellow dresses

For Michael's reception, I made the girls matching yellow dresses. Perhaps you noticed them in the pictures I posted from the reception?

I've used both patterns before, so it was pretty easy to sew them up.  Tabitha's dress was made with Simplicity 4709, which I used to make her blue roses dress.  Emily's dress was made with McCall's 3531, which I used as a basis for her turquoise dress from Susan's wedding last year.

Although, while finishing Emily's (which I did second) I decided that I was done sewing dresses for awhile.  So, apparently, I do have a limit for making clothes for my munchkins.  Not to worry, I've been working on a quilt (for me and Dan) and a knitting a shawl (also for me), both of which I started quite some time ago (like, over a year, at least).

  1. Done sewing dresses for awhile. Interesting; I wonder if it is related to fall and all the harvesting and canning you've been doing.

  2. They are wearing those matching dresses in the family picture I took of you before I left Michigan. I should e-mail that to you. I love those dresses!
