Down in Cinci'

This past weekend we have been down in Cincinnati, Ohio. We left just before diner on Friday, and spent Friday night with Dan's cousin Jeremy, in Dayton. Jeremy and his wife, Lauren, had come to visit us the weekend before, and Emily had taken to him like a bee to honey. She was thrilled to go see her Jer-bear again so soon (Jer-bear was what his family called him when he was a baby). Just after we got there, William fell over and landed on a metal chair leg, getting his first black eye. He minded the ice pack more than getting his owie, and hasn't been letting it bother him. He sure looks like a boy for sure, though.

Saturday we drove the rest of the way to Cincinnati, and Emily got to see her best friend, Jill bean, along with little Danny and brand new Alice. Sunday Alice was blessed at church, since today Mimi and Jeff are packing up and moving to the Washington, DC area, for a new job Jeff is starting.

Emily and Jill are thick as thieves, and took up right where they left off after Jill visited us for Emily's birthday. They are both stubborn, vivacious little girls, although Jill is more fearless, and Emily is deliberate. But they love each other like sisters, and Emily will miss having Jill around so much.
