At the end of July, William turned 1! We were super excited to reach that milestone with him.

out to eat the day after his birthday |
We celebrated on his birthday, and then again that Saturday, with family and friends.
It was a beautiful day, in the mid seventies. We had the party at our neighborhood beach.
And by "beach" I mean it is some land that happens to be by the water, not that it has lots of sand.
There is a thin strip of sand along the edge, and the kids all waded in the water.
The theme for the party was cowboys, and we had home-made corndogs, baked beans, watermelon, veggies, and cupcakes.
I also made him a little star shaped cake, which he took a hunk out of at the party. He tried to do the same thing at home with some cupcakes, but I got them away from him in time. Boy is he getting tall! And such long arms!
He is such a happy, wonderful little boy! We are sure glad that he is part of our family.
The star cake looks so cute. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWilliam is so cute in these pictures. :) I hope I get to see your house and lake some time. It looks nice. I laughed about "beach" meaning "land next to water."
It looks like a fun birthday!!
It really does look so great! I can't wait to come see your house sometime! Is that GG in the pictures sitting by mom and dad, or someone else?
ReplyDeleteGigi is in the first picture of the party, next to Vickie and Grandpa.
