Merry Christmas everyone! Its one of my favorite times of year--the Holiday Season. Not only do we get to celebrate Christmas, but we also get to celebrate my birthday, just 4 days later! Woohoo!
Dan and I have a little Christmas tree we will be putting up soon, and I've been busy working on Christmas presents.
Dan and I started taking a class on having the baby. It's two weeks long, about 4 hours each week. Luckily we take a break in between. We've already learned some things, like the importance of having a "birthing ball"--one of those exercise balls. We went and got one after our first class. I inflated it today (only took me about half an hour, using the inflation device they provided). It is most excellent. Apparently I should practice squatting by a wall, using the ball to help me. This is supposed to build muscles, blah blah blah. Who needs muscles anyway? Dan, of course, was vindicated in his prodding me to exercise.
A birthing ball, eh? Do you like it? I never felt like exercising... do you have to make yourself do it, or is it fun?
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about meeting Emily some day! :) So, I already have an exercise ball. I wonder if it's the right size to use as a birthing ball. Let me tell you, it's killer!
ReplyDeleteSo a birthing ball is an exercise ball, only you use it during labor, so they call it a birthing ball. I actually don't use mine very often. Sometimes I sit on it, especially when I'm hoping I'm in labor (which I haven't been so far).
