Why Craigslist is Great

So, I found a tutorial on how to change a nightstand into a play kitchen.  And I thought, I could do that, and then I'm going to do that!  All I need is a nightstand, and since the author suggested craigs list as a way to get cheap nightstands, I checked it out.  I found one for $10, and got it, but it wasn't quite right, so I found another, and it was only $5.  The first one is actually pretty nice, not falling apart or anything, so I think I am going to use it as a nightstand, since I don't have one right now.

So, Dan and Emily and I all went to get the second nightstand together, after I got off work on Friday.  And the people who were selling it, said, we are moving to Arizona tomorrow and how about you take all this other stuff too, for free?  Well, Dan and I only drive a little car, so Dan went back the next day to get some more stuff, since we could only take two things home on Friday--the nightstand I bought, and an old-fashioned school desk that would fit a four or five year old (also, some baskets).  Dan took out the carseat for his trip on Saturday, and managed to fit a taller nightstand/cupboard thing, a wooden filing cabinet, and two kitchen chairs into the car.

Free is good. Which is why, Craigslist is great.
