Emily's words

tickle ('ikkle)
woof (woo-woo, which applies to pretty much all animals that might maybe look like dogs)
shoe (shoe)
no (no, usually emphatically)

sock (so')
soft (sa', used for touching babies and petting animals - and not hitting her dad)
eat (ee-ee, she also uses it for food)
more (mo', but usually she does the sign--pointing her pointer fingers together)
cookie ('tee, which is also for cracker)
baby (baby, which applies to babies, baby dolls, and stuffed animals)
apple (app)
juice (ju')
rock (bock, she learned this one from her cousin Annibelle)
book (bo')
ball (ba')
sit (si', like no, she is usually very emphatic about this one)
Aunt Jeanie (a' gee-gee, but usually just gee-gee, which she also said for Grandma Boling, who is called Gigi by her great-grandkids)
cat (tac, or cat)
me (me, as in "give it to me")
apple juice (app'ju')
up (u')
please (plee')
phone ('hone)
applesauce (app'sauce)
bottle (ba', for her sippy cup; she does not get a bottle, and has not for months)
car (tar)
outside (si')
shh (shh, she also does the finger in front of her mouth sometimes)
walk (wa')

She also tries to sing along to familiar songs, like itsy-bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle, and the song her dad made up to sing to her when she goes to bed.

And this isn't a word, but she does pretend to pray sometimes.  Yesterday she folder her arms, made me fold mine, babbled for a minute, finished with an emphatic word (I've been saying the amens loud so she would pick up on them, which Vickie showed me), and then said ee-ee.

I got her some food.

  2. She's such a big girl!! We've loved watching the little videos of her dancing with Jill. She's got some moves!!

And I love it when they "pray". I think God does too.
