Thanksgiving

Almost a month ago, our family was hit by tragedy.  And since then, our family has been blessed in so many ways.  We have received meals, condolences, and gifts.  Family came to support us.  So many have reached out to us.  And I have felt the faith of others lifting us up.  I am very grateful for everything that we have been given, from prayers to flowers, from hugs to babysitting.  Most of all, we have never felt alone.  We have known that our loss was not only our loss, that others felt it deeply, and mourned with us.

I am grateful for my family.  For Emily, who comes and gives me hugs.  She is almost three.  About a week before Tabitha passed, Emily said that Tabitha was her best friend.  Tabitha loved Emily, too; lots of people got her smiles, but Emily got her laughter.  There was nothing better than her big sister being silly.  I am grateful that they loved each other so much, that even so young they were glad to be sisters.  I am grateful for my husband as well, for being married to him in the temple.  And the knowledge we have that we can be a forever family, and hold our Tabitha again someday.

So, to all those who have reached out to us, I want to say a big "thank you."  We truly appreciate all the kind words and sympathy.
