This has been an emotional week for me. Being pregnant and missing my baby makes life hard sometimes.
I am going to be teaching a class tomorrow, on etching glass. So on Saturday I did my first glass etching. It was fun, although apparently the etching cream can burn your skin, so I had to keep it away from Emily, which made me a little nervous, since she loves to help and do art with me. Also, I have been working on a quilt this past week, and I got the top finished today. I ordered a new foot for my sewing machine which should make it easier to machine quilt. That should come next week, so I will finish it then. Next week is also my ultrasound. And yes, we are planning on finding out what we are having.
Emily seems to be taking two steps forward and one step back with potty training. Just when I think she's about got it, she has several accidents in one afternoon. But she is definately interested. She wants to do so much herself, with potty training and other things. Her two new phrases are "I do it myself," and "I want to help, too.". And she wanted to help me with my blog, so here is her contribution:

It must be so hard for you. I'm so happy for you, and yet so sad. I cannot imagine for a moment how you must be feeling; it's gotta be very conflicting. What I don't doubt, though, is how much you love your children. That much is quite obvious.
ReplyDeleteI'm still keeping you in my prayers. Just wanted to let you know.
Are you teaching the class for Relief Society? How did you end up teaching it if you've never done it before? You're too amazing! I hope you take pictures of some of the final products. It sounds really cool. I'm not really even sure what it is.
ReplyDeleteJill is starting to love typing on the keyboard, too. :) If Mommy does it all the time, it must be fun!
You, Dan, and Emily are also frequently in my prayers. I am so excited for your new baby, and my heart is full of sadness for missing happy Tabitha.
And potty training was one of the darkest times of raising Jill. I hated it. It always felt like her advances were accompanied with landslides. Sigh. I guarantee this: Emily will eventually be completely potty trained! You can do it. :)
I can't wait to find out the gender of the newest Boling baby!!
I love the new look of your blog! So fresh and springtime-y.
ReplyDeleteWe are all waiting with bated breath for what you learn at the ultrasound! It's always so exciting.
We use a picture of Tabitha as our bookmark in our scriptures that we read every night as a family. Sometimes Hallie and Hanna fight over who gets to hold her.
