Yesterday I had a song stuck in my head--"Gimme That Girl" by Joe Nichols (yes, it IS a country song).
Am I the only one who thinks that songs should be about me? You know, where its a guy singing about how great his wife/girl friend/crush is, and I think, yeah, that should be me, and someone should feel like that about me. Or sing this song to me. Usually when those songs come on, and Dan's in the car, I ask him if he's listening. And usually hit him, because I can't get his attention (usually he is reading). (Hit him to get his attention, not because I'm an abusive wife).
Anyway, if you haven't heard the song, its very sweet. All about how he likes his lady when she's in her jeans and messy hair and snuggling with him.
That does sound like a great song! I've never heard it, but now I want to. :) (And I approve of Danny getting a little punch every now and then, tee hee. The non-abusive kind, of course.)
ReplyDeleteI had never thought about it that way before, but I agree with you. Whenever I do hear happy songs like that, I do want them to be about me, too. :)
