Today William is eight months old. He is three fourths of the way to a year. Good job buddy. Here are ten facts about William:
1. He is over 25 pounds. He is a solid little boy, who loves both nursing and eating solid foods. Especially crackers. He loves to feed himself crackers.
2. He is a great sitter. And he has learned that when he leans over too far to get something, and is half fallen over, he can lean and twist and end up on his tummy facing whatever he wanted. Without his head hitting the floor.
3. He is learning how to get around. He's been trying to crawl for a while, and now he has stopped scooting backward, and maybe be moving ever so slightly forward. And, he's learned to rotate, so he can get around much better. Yesterday he spent a happy good long while on the floor of his sister's room while I folded laundry. It helped that he had lots of things to find and look at. Or chew on.
4. He's had his hair cut a couple times. A while ago I decided enough was enough with just letting his hair grow out, and trimmed it so it was all the same length. Only I missed a little bit, since he was asleep at the time and Dan was holding him, so I went back and did it again. The second time he was awake. He was very interested in the scissors and comb.
5. He is learning to use his fingers to pick things up, instead of palming them. Usually he still palms things, but he tries to just use his fingers.
6. He likes to go outside. He hates sitting on the floor waiting to leave, after he has his coat on.
7. He likes the dog. William loves grabbing the dog's fur. The dog usually avoids getting to close to William. Unless he needs to sniff him.
8. He likes toys like makes noise. He loves electronics. William dives for electronics. Even ones that aren't currently being used.
9. His reach is longer than you might think. He currently sits at the table for meals, in a little booster seat. It's a small table, and we are running out of space where we can put stuff.
10. He's a happy baby. And usually pretty quiet. Until he gets tired or hungry. Or, it's the middle of the night, and Mommy isn't holding him. That's definitely something to scream about.
Cute Boy!
